KTM-Sportmotorcycles GmbH is an Austrian motorcycle, bicycle and car brand. It was founded in 1934, by Hans Trunkenpolz in Mattighofen as “Kraftfahrzeuge Trunkenpolz Mattighofen” Since 1954 KTM has been producing motorcycles and since 1964 also bicycles, mountain bikes and racing bikes. The company is mainly known for its off-road motorcycles, although today road motorcycles are also produced.
